About Me

My name is Amanda and I am a motherless mother. I lost my mom to breast cancer when I was 16 years old. Three years ago I was hired by a national breast cancer charity and am blessed to be the Community Relations Specialist, doing something I love that also allows me to honour my mom every day.

Visiting my mother's grave with both kids for the first time.
I am married and have two beautiful children and I hope they never know what it is like to lose me to breast cancer. Through this blog I hope to be able to share information on breast health promotion while figuring out how to be the best mom I can be without my mom and all the ups and downs that come with it (and trust me when I tell you there are a lot of ups and downs). This is just me trying to make a small difference.

My amazing family on a vacation last year.
